Wanderlust Things Unicorn Brushes

My fellow mystical creatures, rejoice! The beauty gods have blessed us with these gorgeous Unicorn Brushes from Wanderlust Things! Whether you’re just a little extra or you feel it in your soul that you’re more than just human (ahem, mermaid, ahem), these brushes are perfect for adding a little magic to your vanity table and to your beauty routine.

Unicorn Brushes

I got the face kit for myself, consisting of 5 face brushes: powder brush, foundation brush, contour brush, highlight brush and blush brush. I chose this kit because I really wanted to replace my powder brushes at home (I’m using some dank old ones from ELF I got a million years ago) so this was the perfect chance.

Powder and Foundation

First up is the Powder Brush. This baby was big, fluffy, and perfect for dusting on a light layer of powder onto the skin. It dispenses just the right amount of product to set the foundation without leaving it cakey, making it the perfect replacement for my previously mentioned dank powder brushes.

The second brush in the kit is the Foundation Brush. Unfortunately, it was a little too soft for my liking, and I think I’d only use this for powder foundations for lighter coverage days. It wasn’t very different to the powder brush, and this made it ideal for powder products as well.

Contour and Blush
Top – Blush Brush, Bottom – Contour Brush

The Contour Brush came with a slightly angled tip, making it just the right shape for getting into the hollows of the face. It was the perfect size for really making sure my contour pops, while the soft bristles worked to blend everything out seamlessly. This one has definitely made it into my stash of everyday brushes!

Next up is the Blush Brush: an adorable, slightly smaller brush that fit the apples of the cheeks perfectly. I really liked how it swept blush onto my cheeks, and the bristles made it easy to blend out as well for a natural looking flush.

Lastly, we have the Highlight Brush. Now, this one wasn’t my favorite out of the bunch. I thought the bristles were too stiff and the brush was too small, making this quite difficult to use on the face. I thought it was more suited for eye shadow use, so I think I’ll be adding this one to my eye brush collection for better use.

Unicorn Brushes Up Close

I really love the colour veining of these brushes. It reminds me of a pastel rainbow, perfect for dispensing some magic onto your face (afterall, makeup is truely magic, isn’t it?) It says on the site that these are made from “the finest unicorn hair” and have “strong unicorn horn handles”. How cute right? 🙂 These unicorn brushes also come in a eye kit that has 10 pieces suited for all your eye needs. And in case you’re wondering, these brushes are cruelty-free: no unicorns were harmed in the making of these brushes. 😉

What do you guys think of these brushes? Would you get them for yourself or a friend?
